French Tian
These yellow glazed earthenware bowls is known as "tian." They were extremely practical bowls that were used for washing fruits, vegetables, and also as bowls for washing dishes and cutlery. The bright glaze was applied only to the inside-as is traditional-and they are in excellent condition. They come from southwest France, a region famous for ochre and green glazed culinary pottery. Some signs of time can be seen in the photos.
