Beauronne vase

A splendid terracotta jar originally used for storing oil. It shows traces of terracotta and olive-green glaze. It dates from the end of the 18th century and is a rare Beauronne vase. Typically decorated with doigtier ornaments, a technique in which the potter pressed down on the clay to create chain motifs. In perfect condition. France, 18th century.
